A Servent by Choice

I have been called to serve the Lord through ministry, I'm hopping that later in my life I'll be able to become a nurse. Last year I knew I wanted to be a nurse, I wrote the Dean of Johns Hopkins asking for information and basic application forms. I was set on becoming a nurse and then going to Bible College, But, a friend of mine, Mary, she's 26, told me she went to nursing school with her plans for
Bible College for after she became an RN, and it didn’t work. She said she jumped into something highly influenced by the world without the spiritual strength and preparation she needed . I didn’t just change my mind after she told me her experience, I thought and prayed about it a lot. I asked God, Is this your plan for my life? "Not my will, but Thy will…"  God didn’t push me aside and tell me to wait, so why should I do that to him?  I know that many people are not meant to be in the ministry, but when you are, it’s a definite thing. You know because Christ draws you to it and gives you a crucified heart. If you refuse to answer his call, do his will, and put him first above everything in your life you are saying no to the best things in life you can imagine. A life of service is a choice. Not many people would choose to be a servant, sometimes it is hard decision. But Defiantly worth it in every way.
